Taj Mahal & Tiger Tours

The Taj Mahal represents the finest and most sophisticated example of Mughal architecture. Its origins lie in the moving circumstances of its commission and the culture and history of an Islamic Mughal empire's rule of large parts of India. The distraught Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned the mausoleum upon the death of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Today it is one of the most famous and recognisable buildings in the world and while the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar part of the monument, the Taj Mahal is an extensive complex of buildings and gardens that extends over 22.44 Hectares and includes subsidiary tombs, waterworks infrastructure, the small town of 'Taj Ganji' and a 'moonlight garden' to the north of the river. Construction began in 1632 AD, (1041 AH), on the south bank of the River Yamuna in Agra, and was substantially complete by 1648 AD (1058 AH).

Day 01 : Arrival

Assist on arrive to Delhi at IGI airports. Transfer to hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi To Agra

After breakfast Drive to Agra En-Route Sikandra fort. Afternoon visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.

Day 03 : Agra To Ranthambore

After Break Fast Drive for Ranthambore (tiger reserves) visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Reach Ranthambore afternoon and Check-in into the Hotel for OverNight stay.
Day 04 : Ranthambore

Tiger Safari in Tiger Reserve national Park Ranthambore by Open Jeep / Canter-Truck.

Day 05 : Ranthambore to Jaipur

Morning after Break Fast Move to jaipur. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, Jantar Mantar the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Over Night stay in hotel.

Day 06 : Jaipur

After Break Fast visit the Amber Fort -the ancient capital of State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors ,Nahar Garh Fort (from there You Can View of The City),Jaigarh fort,Jal Mahal (Palace in lake). In evening Free at leisure and Over Night stay in hotel.

Day 07 : Jaipuro to Delhi

After Break Fast Drive to Delhi. On arrival check in at hotel. In evening Free at leisure and Over Night stay in hotel.

Day 08 : Delhi

Tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.

Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple ( Birla Temple ) - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Evening transfer to airport for onward journey.
