Day 01 : Delhi A company representative will wait at the Delhi Airport to receive you. You will receive a warm traditional welcome and you will be transferred to a luxury hotel (such as The Imperial or The Oberoi) where a room has already been booked for you. Day 02 : DelhiEnjoy a delectable breakfast before embarking on a guided tour of Delhi, the capital of India. Delhi has been a political theatre of India for several centuries now. It is believed that the relics found in Purana Quila or Old Fort of Delhi belong to the Mahabharata era and are evidence of the fact that Delhi was once Indraprastha, the capital of Pandavas. The highlights of Delhi mainly belong to Mughal and British Raj period. At Old Delhi, you can see the Red Fort with Asia’s biggest market Chandni Chowk nearby, Birla Temple, Jama Masjid, and Rajghat while in New Delhi, you can see the India Gate, the President’s House, Qutub Minar, and Lotus Temple. In the evening, you will be treated by folk and classical performances at ‘Dances Of India Show’, which starts at 18:45 hrs before retiring to your hotel for the night. Day 03 : Delhi - AgraA warm delicious breakfast will set you in the mood for the trip to Agra, where you will stay at the Oberoi Amar Vilas or the Gateway Hotel of the Taj Group. En-route, you will visit Sikandra, Akbar’s tomb that he started himself but which was completed by his son Jehangir. Once you check-in at the hotel, you are at your leisure to roam around the city or relax. Day 04 : AgraYou will be served a finger licking breakfast before you commence the sightseeing tour of the city of Agra. Agra was once the capital of Mughals. The architectural splendor of the city stands as a testimony to the opulent and illustrious Mughal Empire. The monument of love Taj Mahal; the stronghold of the mighty army of the Mughals Agra Fort; and Empress Noor Jehan’s lovely tribute to her father Itmad-ud-Daullah’s tomb are highlights of the city. Shop for marble souvenirs in the evening. Taj Mahal miniatures, marble tabletops and trinket boxes with inlaid stonework and handicrafts are some of the favorite items that foreigners buy as gifts or keepsakes. Day 05 : Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - JaipurYou will be served a grand fare for breakfast before you check out of the hotel at Agra and leave for Fatehpur Sikri. Akbar developed this model town in the honor of Sheikh Salim Chisti, a Sufi saint who blessed him with an heir. There are several unique features of this town that makes it one of the most well-panned and beautiful cities of the Moghuls. However, it had to be abandoned soon enough because of the scarcity of drinking water in the region. Several scenes of the movie Jodhaa Akbar has been shot at Fathepur Sikri and you can see Panch Mahal here, which was once the queen’s quarter of Rani Jodhabai. You will then proceed to Jaipur, where you will check in at the Oberoi Raj Villas. Day 06 : JaipurJaipur is the city where you can still see the marks of royalty. All guests in the luxury hotels of the city are treated as royal guests and your wish is the command of your hosts. A lavish breakfast is followed by the splendid tour of the city. A royal elephant or jeep ride to the majestic Amber Fort at Jaipur sets you in the mood of delicate yet majestic features of Rajput architecture. You will also see the City Palace, part of which houses heirs of the erstwhile royalty to this day. Other highlights of the city are Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and the Jantar Mantar or the Royal Observatory built on the blueprints of the founder ruler of the city. The artisans working in the rug factories of Jaipur and gem cutting and polishing at the gem factory are some of the other attractions that foreigners find mesmerizing. Day 07 : Jaipur - Delhi.You will be served a special breakfast before you check out of the hotel at Jaipur and leave for Delhi. In Delhi, tourists usually find time to do last minute shopping. A company representative from TNS will treat you to a farewell dinner and see you off at the International Airport in Delhi, in time for your flight to home. |
